Celebrating Special Bookish Weeks


This week I wanted to alert readers to two special weeks for libraries and books. The paragraphs below are from the September 2008 issue of the online newsletter TeenReads.com.

"September 27th - October 4th is Banned Books Week. This year's theme is Celebrating the Freedom to Read." If you’re not familiar with this bookish celebration, it’s the time when libraries across recognize how great it is to have access to all kinds of books --- even if they’re controversial.
